Developments
- Developed a new Acrylic Re-tanning Agent for “use at wide pH range” – right from Pickling to Retanning. Pilot batches of the product show improved filling, fine grain and excellent light fastness. Commercial production will start soon under product name TanCryl HF.
- Developed Highly “Cold Crack Resistant” Acrylic Binder with a “Very Soft” touch and feel. Leathers finished with it exhibit very high cold crack resistance (up to minus 20 Deg C). Product imparts a very fine, non-tacky film and helps in retaining natural look of finished leather. Pilot batch and lab testing is in final stages. Product to be commercialized as TufCryl DX.
- Developed a Compact binder with mildly waxy feel and excellent defect masking – particularly for “very soft” leathers. The product is under testing at customers end; to be launched soon under the name Uphin 21 WX.
- Developed “Very Soft” & ” Non -Tacky” Acrylic Binder that exceeds all existing binders in softness properties . This binder imparts a very fine, non-tacky film and helps in retaining natural look of finished leather. Pilot batch and lab testing in final stages. To be launched as TufCryl VSF.
- CAB Emulsion – A lightfast, Nitro-Free lacquer emulsion for white and pastel upper leathers is under final stages of development and testing. The product will enable low VOC finishing of white and pastel shoe leathers
Improvements
New Generation Grinding Mills for more uniform & Nano sized grinding of pigment pastes are added in the production line.
Environment & Safety
- New Bag filter added to the syntan powder plant will help in reducing the Air / Water pollutio.
- Successfully Implemented the Chemical compatibility assessment / segregation of all the raw materials / finished products, conducted by a reputed multinational consultant.
- Installed more energy efficient agitators in fatliquor plant.
